Open Letter from Geeks to Recruiters

Sharing this link as i've done a few job interviews lately and this post really hits home.

"For the love of all things good in the world, learn how to hire and employ a geek. You're doing it wrong."

Very true, I used to send http://www.inter-sections.net/2007/11/13/how-to-recognise-a-good-programmer/ to collegues/bosses when they were doing the interviewing most of them never bothered to ask those questions.
After one guy was hired and shortly after starting we found out he had no computer at home, I re-emailed emphasising what stuff have you done at home.
A realy geek has plenty of servers/projects/home automation running of their perl code etc going at home.
