UK to allow warrantless "remote searching"

"TheHome Office has quietly adopted a new plan to allow police across Britain routinely to hack into people’s personal computers without a warrant.

The move, which follows a decision by the European Union’s council of ministers in Brussels, has angered civil liberties groups and opposition MPs. They described it as a sinister extension of the surveillance state which drives “a coach and horses” through privacy laws.

The hacking is known as “remote searching”. It allows police or MI5 officers who may be hundreds of miles away to examine covertly the hard drive of someone’s PC at his home, office or hotel room."

OH...So much for all that freedom we have/are fighting for...Freedom from government oppression, free of personal expression. Where does it stop? Will the government tell you how to make love to your wife? How to raise your kids? What type of food you are allowed to eat?
Soon in the UK, you'll have to wear a PINK triangle on your clothes if you dont a Microsoft OS. Taken out into the streets and flogged for being a dissident.

Just my thought..As a FREE citizen of the world.

sketchy, very sketchy. Governments have never abused power before, they can be fully trusted all the time to always do the right thing.
